HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) ? The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has scheduled a series of public events as it prepares to vet six different proposals competing for Philadelphia?s second casino license.
The gaming board has scheduled three days of events: an information-only presentation in February to be followed by two days of public hearings in April.
Board spokesman Doug Harbach says applicants will present their proposals at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, beginning at 9am on February 12th.
?For those organizations, the public, (and) government officials who want to know firsthand about these projects, I urge them to be at the February daylong event, and each of the applicants will have ample time to unroll their projects out in a public setting,? Harbach tells KYW Newsradio.
No registration is necessary for that event, but Harbach says the gaming board will begin registration in early March for public input hearings to be held April 11th and 12th, also at the Convention Center.
